90's is History
Remembering the old times was interesting. There were a lot of memories that were forgotten over the years and taking this blogging session to right down these not so important but interesting events that have occured during my childhood years. Too bad I can't go back. You're only a child once and as it passes you notice that now those fun years are history. Bummer. Oh well, high school years are fun too, but eventually these years will pass and we will be off to boring work and inevitable taxes to pay.

Scooby Doo, Fly Rhino Junior High, the Pinky and The Brain. Will they ever come back? I've seen them on teletoon and they are great to watch once in a while. They bring back old memories. Just lately I watched Disney's Pinoccio and my gosh it is creepy. Very dark and evil that one is. And think I watched Pinnoccio as a child and other children watched it too. I can't remember if I enjoyed it or maybe I didn't understand it. But wow I not going to be watching Pinnoccio any time soon.
I also watched Ghost Busters not too long ago and it reminded me of the old tv series that used to be aired on YTV. Watching them suck up ghost with their homemade ghost sucking vacuums was pretty sweet. I believe that slimy green ghost that eats everything was their "pet" in the series as in the Movie they just sucked him up like any other ghost.
Those were the awesome years.

School's almost over. Just a couple more weeks that I need to survive and then it is all over. At my old public school, at this very moment we'd be sittin' around with a bunch of fans while watching movies or just finishing up our last units. It's weird I went back to my old school and it seems very small. The walls there feel like they're closing in on you and the classrooms seem so tiny. Hard to believe I was able to fit in the desks too. Seems like it was forever since the last time I was attending that school.

Remember the Good Ol' Times...
Remember when everyone wanted to be spiderman or the girls wanted to be a princess with their pretty dresses and tiarras ( don't know how to spell that one)? That was the slow, easy life that I miss. I remember I wanted to be an adult when I was kid . You know always playing dress up, playing 'house' where I was the mother taking care of a child. Or when we thought the opposite gender had 'cooties' or something. Now I wish I was a kid again, while I am nearing adult hood. Having homework that only asked you to match up the word dog to the dog picture, or draw and colour your family infront of your house, think how easy and fun that would be.
Doesn't life just fly by?

PACMAN!!!
This is another random unrelated thing I have decided to put on. This is my internet banner that I have been working on. Clearly it is not the best because it was my first flash 'movie' I have ever made. This Pacman Banner links up to pacman.com. Enjoy and I hope it works!

My Game
This took me awhile to put together as you all might know. It is similar to many of the other 'Choose your own Adventure' Games you might have played. Enjoy my own Choose You Own Adventure Game and watch out for all the deadly traps I programmed in it! Note: this is not related to my topic in any way. Enjoy!!

Amazing shows that were so violent it was funny. Just think, all the shows that the 90's had available for kids were violent. The Coyote planning deadly traps for the road runner, Inspector Gadget always reluctantly dodges Hooks murderous attacks, or the show Gargoyles ( or however you spell it) was dark. Now of course not all the shows were violent like Winnie the Pooh or other shows you may have watched. But I see lately that kids shows are more filtered from darkness, bad guys and evil lookin' things. Do you think it is good or bad for kids to be filtered from evil things or should they be a little exposed to shows like that, but of course at the end the bad guy is caught?

The Shows That are Not Ment to Exist.
Luckily Lizzy Maguire ( or however you spell it) is off air, or I think it is... but Hannah Montana, Suite Life Of Zach And Cody, Zoey 101. Come on, they need a background laughing audience everytime they say over used, corny jokes. They are also not all that great with acting. They over exagerate everything and that just makes the shows worse.
I must say also, most of these actors also sing. They're not the greatest singers either. I wonder if a computer altars their voices so that it sounds in key, but still the songs aren't all that great. Ok maybe some of their songs are fine but I find all the truelly talented singers don't have their turn in the spot light because Hannah Montana hogs center stage.
I must say, entertainment is a really strange thing.

It Just Isn't the Same
So many good shows that used to be on tv haven't been seen since 2000 hit. Watching bad guys run but always get caught at the end by spiderman, or watching Power Rangers spaz on the floor everytime they get hit by one of those red rays that the bad guy for some reason always have extracting from his eyes; those were humourous to watch. Watching Dora the Explore follow a path and just can't get off that path even if there was a giant boulder rolling their way, and then they ask you a question and stare at you for 5 minutes isn't all that funny or enjoyable to watch. Is it because of the violence in the old awesome 90s shows that made them inappropriate for children?

What Ever Happened To the 90's Shows?
Dora and Boots, Backyardigans, and now Diego? What ever happened to the awesome 90's shows like Inspector Gadget, Mummy's Alive, Batman and Power Rangers? Or the classics like the Disney characters like Goofy and his son, The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and the all known Mickey, or Warner Bros characters like Bugs Bunny, the Maniacs, and Pinky and the Brain?
